On September 16th, Fevara plc officially launched LithoNutri at UK Dairy Day, introducing the new rumen buffer to dairy farmers and the wider agricultural trade.
The launch follows the exclusive five-year distribution agreement announced between Fevara plc and Oceana Minerals earlier this year. It brings an internationally respected ruminal health and digestive performance enhancer into the UK and Ireland portfolio, enabling Fevara to offer customers more integrated nutrition solutions.
The show was a great opportunity to introduce LithoNutri and showcase it alongside Biosprint as part of the Fevara additives range.
Supporting a productive rumen
LithoNutri is a natural product, derived from calcified red marine algae (Lithothamnium), with a unique honeycomb microstructure. It is valued for its ability to provide a sustained buffering effect in the rumen, and for its distinctive mineral profile.
How is LithoNutri different from other buffers?
LithoNutri offers mineral-based buffering from a natural marine algae source, with laboratory testing showing sustained buffering activity within a tighter pH band, and a more granular particle profile compared to competitor products.
Business Development and Projects Manager for Fevara, Dean Barclay said:
“We had a number of valuable conversations with farmers and the trade at UK Dairy Day 2026, highlighting the benefits of both LithoNutri and Biosprint, how they work both independently and as a duo. The level of engagement demonstrated the appetite for new, quality nutritional solutions, and the event provided a great platform to build new relationships and reinforce existing ones, with a number of promising leads for the team.”
Joshua Hoopes, Chief Executive Officer of Fevara plc, commented:
“The launch of Lithonutri in the UK and Ireland market further cements our position as an international specialist for research-proven livestock nutrition. Development of strategic distribution partnerships remains a key part of our growth strategy and where we continue to see strong success.”
